IM2 - Great and free messenger

IM2 (or Instant Messenger 2) is a good alternative of Trillian. You can use it for:

  • MSN
  • AIM
  • ICQ
  • IRC
  • Yahoo
The interface is comfortable and IM2 supports skins if you want to change windows' view. It is translated to French, German, Russian, Italian and more languages.
Also IM2 allows secure encrypted chat, video and audio chat.

Thanks for the information. With so many differnt IM services, it's harder, not easier, to keep track of friends. I'll check out IM2 and Meebo now. I've tried Trillion, but found it difficult to use. (for me, at least.)

Hmmm....this definitly looks interesting. Especially since the family can't seem to all decide on ONE messenger ;)

I actually prefer to use Trillian, myself. Good to see someone's documenting this though, and making it easier for people to find the information and links they want, all in one location, without half the crap that most other websites have. Nice job.

I have been using Trillian for a year or so now. I would be interested to know which one you would prefer -- Trillian or IM2? I might try it out.
